Pros
There is an undeniable standard of beauty that is presented when you wear a Raymond Weil Freelancer watch.
They are not your typical watches as every single one is hand crafted and given the utmost care during production, resulting in an amazing finished product.
The base of this accessory comes in brushed or smooth stainless steel or gold plating for an extra visual pop.
The bracelet band comes in a high quality woven leather strap, one tone stainless steel or there are some freelancers that that have stainless steel bracelets with the option of solid silver or two-tone of silver and rose/yellow gold.
These beautiful watches combine a modern and classic design with great attention to detail. This is very evident when it comes to the dial choices for this model.
There are four different dial options with each being incredibly unique and beautiful. The most complex looking dial is the dial with the automatic open balance wheel that lets you see the automatic motion engine. It is pretty cool to be able to see your accessory working right in front of you.
The next dial option comes with three sub dials that display 60 seconds, 30 minutes and 1/10th of a second. This dial is really visually pleasing and distinctive.
There is also a simple accessory dial that is no less stunning without the extra design features. This model only comes with the automatic open balance wheel dial in two sizes, but they are still just as beautiful and timeless as the men’s watches in this line.
We love the Swiss made self-winding automatic engine and thoroughly test chronograph display. The automatic movement allows the accessory to run on roughly 46 hours of reserve power before it needs to be recharged.
This is a great analog device with a sturdy, stationary bezel. There is a three date display located at 3 o’clock as well that really rounds out the watch’s display.
We cannot forget to mention that the Freelancer is water resistant up to 330 feet. This is great if your watch gets wet at some point, but we definitely suggest keeping it as dry as possible since it is not meant as a diving or sporting accessory.
We would not want to see anything happen to the leather band or beautiful dial that it has. There is a great three year warranty to cover nearly any issue though, so you will likely be in the clear if anything does happen during that span of time.
Cons
The first thing we noticed when giving the Freelancer a test run is that it needs a new clasp. The standard clasp that it comes with seems like it will give out far before the rest of the device does and will need to be replaced.
We would like a sturdier clasp installed to avoid have to have it repaired or even lost should the standard clasp break.
We also could not help but notice how heavy of device it is. It does not look like it would be heavy, but the stainless steel watch base and stainless steel or leather bracelet band really have a weighted feel to them.
This is not the worst thing in the world, just be prepared to feel the presence of this device all the time.
We really wish that the Freelancer came in more style selections for women. There are three different dial faces and many options for the band style for the men’s version of the Freelancer, but only one dial option with two different bands. Don’t get us wrong, the women’s styles are beautiful, but a little more variety would be nice.

We think that the answer to this question is very simple. This model is best for anyone that is looking for a watch that is made of the best quality materials, has some of the most innovative technology available and is above all else effortlessly classic and stylish.
