I love health and beauty tips and hacks; whatever keeps me looking young and saves me money on overly expensive beauty care products. In fact, I’ve probably read too many of them, and by now my skin is probably wondering why I’m lathering coffee and oatmeal masks onto my face. But these tips can seriously help you with skin health, as well as saving time and money on hair and makeup.
As females, there’s a lot to keep track of, but if there are beauty hacks to make things easier, then I’m all for it. Give me those crazy scrubs and weird eyeliner tricks, I need all the help I can get.
25 Life-Changing Beauty Hacks – Cosmopolitan

Green Tea Bags for Puffiness: When I first saw my sister do this, I’m pretty sure I gave her a weird look. But after learning about how putting green tea bags just under (or on) your eyes can get rid of puffiness and dark circles, I was all about it (this probably ranks high in my favorite health and beauty tips)
Eye Shadow for Thicker Hair: This is a simple and quick trick if you want to give the appearance of having thicker hair. Just take a small to medium sized brush, pick an eyeshadow that is very close to your own hair color, and then apply at the roots of where your hair parts. It’s as easy as that!
The Concealer Triangle: A lot of the time, us women apply concealer in line with our dark circles. But this is the worst way to reduce the appearance of them. What you need to do instead is create a “V” (or inverted triangle) shape, and blend into your skin to get a more well rested and brighter look!
Nails in Cold Water: This was one of the first health and beauty tips I ever learned. When I was a kid, my sister (the same one with the tea bags) did my nails and taught me this hack. After coating your nails with polish, dip them into a pre-prepared bowl of ice water, and let them set for about a minute.

Apply Glue Before Nail Polish: Glue is a cheaper alternative to products that do the exact same thing. All you have to do is apply some glue around your nails (on your skin), let it dry, and then apply the nail polish. Reason for this? Well when you’re finished painting your nails, you can easily peel off the glue and no paint will have gotten on your skin.
Twisting for Split Ends: This is an awesome hack if you have hair that gets split ends easily (like mine). Just take a section of your hair, half the section, then twist it around each other, and if there are any ends sticking out, clip them.
Lipstick Hack: A lot of brands promise you a 24 hour lasting period, but we all know they’re liars. Thankfully though, there’s a hack for that (surprise surprise). Once you’ve finished applying your lipstick, take a tissue, and lightly dust translucent powder over the tissue. (I love this powder).
Eyeline with Lighter: This is probably one of the crazier health and beauty tips. Turns out lighters aren’t just for lighting cigarettes. You can use them to heat up a pencil eyeliner and it will quickly become a darker more intense color that will make your eyes pop!
17 Beauty Products You’ll Wish You Knew About Sooner – Buzzfeed

NYX Be Gone Lip Color Remover: You know how after you remove your lipstick, they’re stained with the color? Well this stuff takes care of it. Just wipe the lip color remover off with a tissue and you’re done.
Shiseido Eye Smoother: Want to get rid of bags, dark circles, and laughing lines? Then apply these just under your eyes (or even around your mouth area to reduce laughing lines). This is such a great product that reduces signs of aging!
Berrisom Peel-Off Lip Stain: Alright so I know I just talked about a lip stain remover, but this stuff is awesome! It goes on like a jelly lip gloss, and then once it’s done drying, you peal it off and you have an awesome lip color for about 12 hours (this is great since I hate getting lipstick or gloss on my teeth).
DIY Quick and Simple Brush Cleaning Routine – byAnnaGrace

When I was a young teenager, I didn’t have the best skin hygiene. I’d lather on makeup (forget about washing it off), and finish it all off with brushes that hadn’t been washed in who knows how long. But if I had known about this DIY project, I probably would have done it (especially since it’s so easy).
Ingredients
1 cup warm water
1 tbs. dish soap
2 tbps. white vinegar
That’s it!
Instructions
- Set up your brushes and ingredients near running water.
- Mix the soap, vinegar, and warm water in a bowl and stir.
- Then take your brush and move it around in the mixture (or soak if it’s very dirty for a little bit).
- Once it’s clean, hold it under warm running water (move bristles to get out more makeup if needed), to finish off the cleaning process.
- Reshape the brush bristles so they dry in their original shape.
- Do this with each individual brush. Pretty simple right?
10 Amazing 2 Ingredients All Natural Homemade Face Masks

I love face masks. It’s like I can feel the nutrients seeping into my pores as I let it sit on my skin. Ok so that sounds a little weird (minus a little). But what I love even more are simple masks, the two ingredient kinds that don’t cost me much time and money.
Turmeric and Coconut Oil: Now I think these two ingredients are awesome! Turmeric and coconut oil help to fight against aging, moisturize, and give you a great glow. Awesome ingredients for healthy skin.
Honey and Lemon: Honey and lemon are great for killing bacteria (goodbye acne), and lightening your skin. So if you have old acne scars, this is the stuff you need to slather on your skin.
Honey and Coffee: If you want to tighten your skin, then this is the mask to make . Both work in unison to give you firmer, more youthful, skin. An awesome anti-aging duo (not to mention coffee’s antioxidants fight free radicals (the stuff that makes you age).
19 Makeup Dupes that Will Save You Money – Buzzfeed

Makeup is awesome, but expensive makeup? Not so great.. at least for my wallet. That’s why when I saw this Buzzfeed post on cheaper alternatives (that were basically the same) to expensive brand products, I started taking notes.
Maybelline Line Stiletto Liquid Liner: I love liquid eyeliner (how else could I get that dramatic of a black?), and when I found out that this Maybelline brand was $28 cheaper than the YSL version, I had to get it.
NYX Matte lipstick: I like shiny lips, but sometimes I really like a matte finish to my look. That’s why I was happy to find that the NYX brand was $11 cheaper than the MAC brand (and just as good).
Freeman Facial Polishing Mask: Looking for a great face mask with awesome ingredients? Then try this one with charcoal (great for pulling out impurities from your pores) and black sugar. You’ll save $13 dollars if you get it instead of Origins’ version of the mask.
L’Oreal Paris Voluminous Carbon Black Mascara: This mascara is $18 cheaper than Diorshow. You can still get amazing long and thick lashes for more than half the price.
